DUO by Enira 2022
DUO by Enira 2022 brings together Merlot and Syrah in an even partnership. This wine reflects the idea of balance through contrast – softness and depth, fruit and earth, freshness and quiet warmth. It is an approachable yet thoughtful expression of the Bessa Valley style.
Tasting Profile & Sensory Experience
The wine shows a dark ruby colour, clear and vivid. The aromatic profile is open and expressive, offering:
- Primary aromas: Plum, black cherry and blueberry.
- Secondary notes: Subtle leather, toasted bread and gentle earthy nuances.
On the palate, DUO by Enira 2022 is soft and well-knit, with a medium body and a smooth, homogeneous texture. Earthy tones add depth beneath the fruit, giving the wine a grounded, composed character. The finish is fruity and persistent, leaving a clean and lasting impression.
Terroir & Winemaking
The vineyards of Bessa Valley provide the conditions for steady ripening and balanced fruit expression, allowing both Merlot and Syrah to retain their identity while finding common ground in the blend.
Grape Varieties:
- 50% Merlot
- 50% Syrah
Winemaking:
The grapes are harvested by hand with careful quality control in the vineyard. After destemming and berry selection on vibrating tables, the fruit is transferred by gravity into concrete tanks without crushing. Cold maceration is followed by controlled alcoholic fermentation and warm maceration, allowing for a gentle and precise extraction. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels – 30% two-year-old and 70% three-year-old barrels – adding texture and subtle complexity without dominating the fruit. The final blend is filtered and bottled.
