Count Stephan von Neipperg and Marc Dworkin visited Bessa Valley winery in July 2018

Count Stephan von Neipperg and the French oenologist Marc Dworkin visited Bessa Valley winery in July 2018 to oversee the development of the recently planted plots with white grapes of the French varieties Marsanne, Rousanne and Viognier, carefully chosen as the best match for the local terroir. Bessa Valley winery will start vinification of white wine for the first time this year with our first white wines expected to hit the market in 2019! We are confident that the results will be excellent right from the first batches, given the expert guidance of Count Neipperg, Marc Dworkin, and the dedication of the Bessa Valley team. We had an excellent few “days in the office” with a window of great local weather, tasting of current and new red wines as well as the usual inspection of the winemaking process and facilities.
