Merlot: 50 %,Syrah: 50%;
The grapes are handpicked, and then carefully selected on sorting tables. Cold maceration of whole berries is performed from 3 to 5 days at 16 ºC. Alcohol fermentation with addition of selected yeast strains is controlled at 26-28 ºC during 8-10 days, in order to reach 3-4 g/l residual sugar, followed by maceration from 5 to 8 days in concrete tanks 10 m³-thermoregulated. Malolactic fermentation continues in oak barrels and in tanks, then ageing for about 12 months in oak barrels. Barrels: 20% two and 80 % in three years old oak
Duo 2011 has the characteristics of the still and dry wines. The whole richness and intensity of the two varieties Merlot (50%) and Syrah (50 %) are revealed in this wine. The wine aged 12 months in French oak barrels.It impresses with deep and intense ruby color with garnet nuances. The nose is cherry, nuts and vanilla and expresses with its intensity, alluding the juicy, vivid and compelling taste. The feeling of the ripe red fruits on the palate is influenced by the exact time of harvesting. The delicate and sweet tannins, the coffee aroma and smoke accompany with such elegance on the dense and smooth taste of the wine.This wine fascinates with silky softness, warmth and depth. Rich and balanced it is with perfect and vanilla aftertaste. This excellent balance allows this wine to age for a long time.
